Doubling up your Hijab/Scarf

Pin It

I uploaded a photo a week ago with me doubling up a Hijab/scarf, a friend of mine sent me a picture that same week with her styling it the same way and she looked so beautiful (ma).

I believe overlaying a scarf creates an elegant hooded shape and really suits all.
I have been doubling up for a while now and have kind of made it my signature look, it’s pretty simple to achieve.  All you need to do is tie your Hijab as normal with any plain colour and then take a smaller thin rectangular scarf to drape over.

My advice would be to use a cotton Hijab underneath so the overlay doesn't slip off.
Best thing about this style is the fact you can use any Hijab/scarf to overlay. I have always been fond of silk designs but in the past never managed to style them correctly. With this look you can pick up any scarf without worrying will it cover all your hair or if it will work.

Check out below a couple of looks I have created with 2 scarves;

Black cotton hijab with a gold silk scarf layer over

Black cotton Hijab and beige plain scarf to layer over

Black cotton hijab and gold plain scarf to layer over
lilac cotton hijab with silk blue and red to layer over
brown cotton hijab with plain green to layer over
